Mr. William Anthony Bolden departed this life on Tuesday March 19, 2019 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC. William was born on October 25, 1950 to Lewis William and Hattie Mae Todd Bolden. William was married to Tracy Robinson Bolden. William retired as a truck driver after many, many years of service.
He was a member of New Hopewell Baptist church Laurens, SC and currently served as church musician for the Christian Hope Baptist Church, Ware Shoals, SC. He was lead guitarist for the Southern Travelers of Ware Shoals, SC. William was a dynamic musician who would offer his services to whomever asked and traveled near and far praising God through his music and singing the gospel of Jesus Christ. He played for many groups in the surrounding vicinity. He spent many years as lead guitarist for his long- time friend Steve Anderson and the Faithful Gospel singers.
William leaves to cherish his fond memories, wife Tracy Robinson Bolden, 3 sons Lee A (Samantha) Bolden of Easley, SC, Sherman and Quinnterious (BaBa) Robinson both of Anderson, SC; One daugher Shenice (Steven) Long of Anderson, SC; four loving grandchildren whom he cherished dearly Leighasya, Leland, Shyanna land Shayla; 1 great-grand Tayavion. William was also survived by three bothers Geoffrey L (Jeanette) Bolden, Joe E (Elaine) Bolden and Bernard Young. He is also survived by 4 special nephews, Reggie, MIn. Ryan, Corey, and Kenny Bolden, 6 sisters-n-laws, 4 brothers-n-law a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
William was preceded in death by his parents.
The families are at their respective homes.
Visitation for Mr. William Anthony (Amp) Bolden will be held Sunday March 24, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home in Ware Shoals, SC.
Funeral Services for Mr. William Anthony (Amp) Bolden will begin 2:00 PM Monday, March 25, 2019 at the Liberty Baptist Church in Honea Path, SC. Burial will be in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
