Alberta Cunningham Martin

Alberta Cunningham Martin 90, of 19 Gordon St, Due West, SC, passed away June 15, 2019 at the Abbeville Medical Center.

Alberta was born in Leveland, SC to the late Jack Scott and Ginnie V. King.

Alberta was married to the late Johnny Martin Sr. and to this union four children were born.

Alberta worked in child care and domestic housekeeping for many years until she retired.

Alberta was a faithful member of Springfield Baptist Church where she served as a missionary and adult choir member.

Alberta leaves to cherish her loving memories, two daughters, Sherry Cunningham, of the home and Peggy Martin; two sons, Johnny Martin Jr., Due West, SC and Randolph Martin, Due West, SC; one sister, Emma Watt; one step daughter, Kim (James) Willis Jr.; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, family and friends.

Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers, Michael Cunningham, David Martin, Liddell Martin; and two sisters, Cynthia Martin and Melvin Robinson.

Funeral Services will be held 3pm Saturday June 22, 2019 at the Springfield Baptist Church, 2180 Keowee Rd, Honea Path, SC.

Viewing will be from 12pm-6pm Friday June 21, 2019 followed by visitation with the family present from 6pm-8pm at the Robinson-Walker Funeral home in Ware Shoals, SC.
