Alexander Mattison

Alexander Mattison, 74, of 12 Moffatt Street, Due West, South Carolina, passed away Monday, April 29, 2024 at his home.

Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, he was the son of George Mattison, Sr. and Ethel McIntosh Mattison.

Alexander was employed as a textile worker at Riegel Mills until he retired.

Alexander was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace Moon Mattison; both parents George and Ethel Mattison; one son, Travis Lindsay; three brothers, John Mack, Robert and George Lee Mattison, and three sisters Willie Wright, Leona South, and Fannie Mae Latimer.

Alexander leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Chante Lindsay Mattison of the home; two sons, Mitchell (Penny) Moon, of Hodges, South Carolina and Herbert Moon, of Greenville, South Carolina; one daughter, Hazel Moon, of Greenville, South Carolina; three brothers, Johnny (Edna) Mattison, of Hodges, South Carolina, Ralph Mattison, of Columbia, South Carolina, and Elmo Mattison, of Ware Shoals, South Carolina; one sister, Mary Suber, of Honea Path, South Carolina; and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.

Funeral service for Mr. Alexander Mattison will be held 12 Noon Saturday, May 4, 2024 in the Wilbur Robinson Memorial Chapel of the funeral home.
