HODGES — Bernice Mays (Granny), 90, of 104 Brush Road, died Thursday, May 8, 2018.

Born in Greenwood, SC, she was the widow of Jacob Mays. and daughter of the late William and Sibethnia Robinson. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and retired from Ware Shoals High School.

Surviving are three children, Dorothy Scott (James), Brenda Williams and Jacob Mays; one sister, Frances Anderson, all of Hodges, SC; 13 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services, 2 pm Saturday, Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Samuel Stroud, and Rev. Willie Frazer; burial in the church cemetery. The body is Robinson-Walker Funeral Home and will be on view Friday from 12 noon — 8 pm and placed in the church Saturday at 1 pm.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Dorothy Scott, 106 Brush Road, Hodges, SC.
