Life History of Betty Ruth Keller
Betty Ruth Keller 79, fifth born of William Sr. and Malinda May Keller, departed this earthly walk of life on March 14, 2023 at Hospice House and Palliative Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood, South Carolina.
Betty affectionately known as “Boo-Boo”, “Gummie”, “Mae Helen”, “Blinky”, “Big Eyes”, “Scamp”, and “Paw Posely”, was a lover of cooking and serving others.
Betty is predeceased by her eldest son, Mark Anthony at the age of 14; brothers, Bobby Harold and William Jr.; sister, Johnnie Mae; parents, William Sr, and Malinda Keller.
Betty is survived by two sons, Larry E. (Nelly), of Hodges, South Carolina, Tyrone L. (Paula), of Syracuse, New York; three grandchildren, Terian (Delquana), of Inman, South Carolina, Ralphael, of Due West, South Carolina, and Zekita Morton, of Hampton, Virgina; five great-grands, Isaiah, Isabella, Janae, Zoe, and Aubreonne, all of Inman, South Carolina; Two brothers, Ernest N. (Lillie), of Honea Path, South Carolina, and Roy F. (Tanya), of Greenwood, South Carolina; six sisters, Shirley A., of Ware Shoals, South Carolina, Juliette, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mary F., of Greenville, South Carolina, Ruby L. and Ida (Pinky), of Ware Shoals, South Carolina, and Gail, of Greenwood, South Carolina; Aunt, Mary Briley Keller, Baltimore, Maryland; God-Children, Lett, London, and Marie Edwards, James, Sandra, Kent and Felicia Reynolds; two God-brothers, LB (Anita), of Baltimore, Maryland and Willie James (Butch), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ; God-sister, Anne Cromer-Klugh, of Dayton, Ohio; God-children whom she was a nanny for many years, Will, McLauren, Motsie, Derek and Winston; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, neighbors, friends, and loved ones.
Funeral services are 12 noon Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at the Little River Multicultural Complex in Hodges, South Carolina, with Rev. Sylvester Jackson as the Eulogist.
The body will be placed in the Multicultural Complex at 11 am.
Burial will be at the Dunn Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Donalds, South Carolina.
Public viewing is Monday, March 20, 2023 from 3-7 pm at Robinson-Walker Funeral Service in Ware Shoals, South Carolina.
The family is at 315 Dunn Creek Road.
