Bobby Smith was born October 20, 1948 to the late James and L. J. Smith Morgan. He was the eldest of 5 children.
Bobby got his education at Emma Maddox, Ware Shoals high school and Piedmont Technical College. During his high school year Bobby was well known for his football skills, which prompted Ware Shoals High to retire the #33.
Being an avid N.Y. Giants fan his blood ran N.Y. blue. His hobbies were fishing, singing, and being “Mr. Fit It”. Bobby’s greatest love was his family. His entire family.
At the age of 22 he moved to New York, where he met and married the love of his life Dolly Bentley. He was married to his lovely wife for 49 wonderful years. This union was blessed with 4 children.
Bobby leaves in mourning his wife of the home; a son, Tyrone (Tiffany) Smith, of Ware Shoals, SC; three daughters, Melissa Smith, of Atlanta, GA, Brittiany Scott-Smith, of Ware Shoals, SC, and Cierra Jordan-Smith, of Honea Path, SC; two sisters, Sylvia Banner and Mary Hawthorne, of Donalds, SC; two god-sisters, Alice Cook, of Laurens, SC and the Rev. Marie Hunter, of Abbeville, SC; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grand child; two uncles; one great-aunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Willie E. Smith and a sister, Willie C. Smith (Cat).
Graveside service for Mr. Bobby Smith will be held 2pm Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Rocky Springs Baptist Church located at 5097 Highway 221 S, Laurens, SC.
Public viewing will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 5-7pm in the funeral home chapel at Robinson-Walker Service in Ware Shoals, SC.
