Calvin Tyrone Ryan

Mr. Calvin Tyrone Ryan, 54, of 8 Valentine Street, Due West, South Carolina, transitioned into eternal life on Saturday, March 11, 2023.

Affectionately known as Tye, he was born in Due West to the late Mildred Valentine Ryan and Calvin Odell “Slim” Ryan.

Throughout his adolescence he attended Due West Elementary, Carver Middle School, as well as Dixie High School where he played both basketball and baseball in which he loved.  He was a part of the wonderful class of 1988.

He worked many years at Fujifilm Manufacturing and Sage Automotive.  He was a member of St. Mary Baptist Church where he served as a devoted Trustee.  Over the course of many years, he gained a passion for washing cars, where he would leave his many customers with a cleaned car and shiny tires.

Calvin loved to spend time with his friends and family. He was known for his many jokes and his big heart simply because he never met a stranger. He enjoyed watching Netflix series and movies with “Smokey and The Bandit,” being his all-time favorite. He enjoyed riding around the small town of Due West and stopping by the local produce shop.

To cherish his memories, he leaves behind three children, Justin Ryan of Columbia, SC, Tyra Ryan of Greenwood, SC, and Braylon Ryan of Conway, SC, in which he shared with Quarndra Battle- Ryan of Greenwood, SC: his siblings Curtis Lomax, Renee Lomax and Keith Lomax all of Cincinnati, Ohio and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends.

Funeral services will be 1pm, Saturday, March 18, 2023 at St. Mary Baptist Church in Due West, South Carolina.

Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be from 2-6pm Friday, March 17, 2023 at Robinson Walker Funeral Service in Ware Shoals, South Carolina.
