Carlos Curtis Mines, 67, of 1003 Nation Road, died Wednesday, September 13, at his home. Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Freddie and Sarah Mays Mines.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Irby Mines; sisters, Constance (Wardell) Martin, Viola Battle, Shirley Mines and Lenora Porter; brothers-in-law, Donnie Irby, Wilbur Irby, Wayne Irby, Willie Bell, Will Irby and Glen Irby; sisters-in-law, Alma Mines, Eloise Irby and Odessa Irby.
Carlos C. Mines was preceded in death by his father; Carlos C. Mines, Sr., his mother; Sarah L. Mays, and brother; Harold Mines.
Funeral service is 12 noon, Tuesday, Good Hope Baptist Church; burial church cemetery. The body is at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home and will be on view Monday beginning at 12 noon and will be placed in the church at 11 am Tuesday.
