Edward Fitzgerald Quarles

Edward Fitzgerald Quarles, 54, of 4619 Cokesbury Rd., passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Greenwood, SC, he was the son of the late Furman Quarles and Ruth Smith Quarles.

He completed three years of college and was employed at Velux until he retired.

He was also a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church- Coronaca in Greenwood, SC.

Edward leaves to cherish his fond memories, wife Mattie Coates Quarles, of the home; four sons, Christopher Quarles, New York, NY, Kelcy Quarles, Alberta, Canada, Latavious Williams, Ware Shoals, SC, and Corey Coleman, Greenwood, SC, that was reared in the home; two sisters, Deloris Adams, Ware Shoals, SC and Judy Posley, Ware Shoals, SC; one grandchild, Nazariah Quarles; nieces reared in the home, Takelia Bridges, Lakeshia Coleman, and Shae Coates; nephews reared in the home, Vincent Coleman and Denzel Coates; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Swearinger; and a host of family and friends.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents.

The family is at the home. 

Funeral services will be held 2pm Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church-Coronaca in Greenwood, SC.

Burial will be in the Dunn Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home from 1pm-8pm.
