Ella Louise Gladden

August 28, 1941 ~ August 7, 2022 (age 80) 80 Years Old


Ella Louise Gladden, 80, of 36 Avondale Drive, Donalds, SC, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022. She was born in Greenwood County to the late Bennie Davis and  Bessie McGhee Bussey.


She loved her family very much. She was employed by Eleanor Rice Elementary School as a custodian before retirement.


Ella leaves to cherish her memory one son, Mack Eric Gladden III (Effie) of Honea Path, SC; one daughter, Mary L. Williams of Ware Shoals, SC; one brother, John Henry Bussey of Donalds, SC; two sisters, Janice Martin of Simpsonville, SC and Viola Harper (Johnny) of Donalds, SC; five grandchildren, three of which where reared in the home, Catorie Richardson (Deroderick), Lashae Cyrus and Danielle Cyrus; Precious Fincher (Voyd Jr.) and Mack Eric Gladden IV (Celina); ten great-grandchildren, Jayda, Brittney, Dylan, Makiya, Jayme, Jakayla, Adrienne, Gavyn, Alanna and Laila-Ann; one great-great-granddaughter, Nova and a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.


She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Gladden and two brothers, Donnie Bussey and Frank Davis.


Graveside service 11am Friday, August 12, 2022 at Dunn Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. 


The family will receive friends at the home located at 36 Avondale Drive, Donalds, South Carolina.
