We gather today with grateful hearts to give thanks for the life journey of our brother and friend, Foster Latimer, who transitioned from life to eternity on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the Hospice House of the Piedmont.
He was born July 22, 1964 to the late Posey and Rosa Wardlaw Latimer. He grew up and lived his life here in Greenwood in a vibrate family of twelve siblings. He attended the Greenwood county school system and worked as an employee of the Caravan Drive Inn for many years. He became known as a mainstay or part of the restaurant’s history. He loved his family and let it be known to anyone who would listen as he talked about them. He was also known for his “clean” style of dressing and his ready smile.
Foster was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Kenneth Latimer, and a sister, Barbara Ann Wardlaw.
He leaves to cherish his memory, six brothers, Willie Wardlaw of Philadelphia, PA; Henry (Velma) Wardlaw, Posey (Keisha) Latimer, and Horace Wardlaw all of Greenwood, SC; Bruce and Thomas Latimer of the home; Three sisters, Bertha Mae Wardlaw of Nashville, TN; Kay Wardlaw of Greenwood, SC; Rosemary Latimer of the home; a nephew, Nicholes Latimer of the home; Niece, Angel Parker raised in the home; three aunts, one uncle, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is now resting from his labor we entrust him into the hands of a loving God. He will be missed but our memories will live forever. All praise to God and thank you for his life.
