George Frazier Obituary
George Lewis Frazier of Brooklyn, NY and formerly of Hodges, SC, entered into eternal rest on Friday December 31, 2021, at Spring Creek Nursing Care Center in Brooklyn at the age of Seventy-five.
George was born in Hodges, SC on December 27, 1946, to the late Mary (Lindsey) and Nathaniel Frazier.
George was a graduate of Emma Maddox High School in Ware Shoals, SC. He was formerly employed by New York City Transit as a mechanic. He had a great love for his family and was an avid music lover and car enthusiast.
George was a Vietnam Veteran, proudly serving his country in the US Army from 1968-1974. During this time, he became a Seargent in the 101st Airborne Division serving in Vietnam and later in Germany. The Army awarded him many decorations, medals, and badges for his excellent marksmanship skills.
George leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, Cathy (Richard) Young of Honea Path, SC, Kim (Tony) Thomas and Stephanie Frazier both of Greenwood, SC; grandchildren, Taudre Thomas, Sheidai Young, Tareze Thomas, Richard Young, ShuMichael Aiken, Jetil Warren and Davaja Harris; Eleven great grandchildren; brothers, James Richard Frazier of Augusta, Ga and Sam(Betty) Wardlaw of Manhattan, New York and one sister Marie Richardson of Gastonia, NC and a host of other family and friends that will miss him dearly.
George was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Nathaniel; brothers, Jimmy N. Frazier, and Carnell Frazier; and one grandson D’Toni Thomas; and his former wife Ilka Frazier.
The Family would like to give a special acknowledgement to Willie May Frazier and the Late Richard Frazier both of Brooklyn, New York for their dedication to George throughout his extended illness.
Funeral Service for Mr. George Frazier will be held 1pm Wednesday January 12, 2022 at Robinson Walker Funeral Service located at 92 W. Main Street Ext., Ware Shoals, South Carolina.
Viewing will be held from 4-8 pm Tuesday, January 11, 2022 in the Wilbur Robinson Memorial Chapel of Robinson Walker Funeral Service.
