Jacqueline Hicks Jones

Jacqueline Hicks Jones, 61 of 105 Dixie Drive departed this life to be with the lord on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

 Born on January 6, 1963, in Greenwood County, she was the daughter of the late Sallie Mae Dodson Hicks and the late Robert N. Hicks Sr. She was an employee of GLEAMNS Head Start in Laurens, and an Elder at Freedom World Outreach Ministries in Greenwood. She attended public schools of Ware Shoals (class of 81) and received her master's degree in education from Ashford University in 2012. Jacqueline was also a dedicated member of the Freely Helps Organization.

 Jacqueline was a member of Freedom World Outreach Ministries an ordained Elder, Sunday school teacher, over the Children’s Ministry and part of the praise and worship team. She was passionate about working with children and was a very talented seamstress. While without any children of her own, Jacqueline had many godchildren.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one sister Gloria Jean Cunningham and one brother Robert N. Hicks, Jr.

Jacqueline leaves to cherish her memory; two brothers James A. Hicks of Donalds, SC and Jerry Smith of Fayetteville, NC; one sister Janice Jackson of Chicago; a niece Kimberly N. Hicks of Columbia, SC; a nephew Marcelle Smith of Chicago, IL; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1pm Friday, March 15, 2024 at Dunn Creek Baptist Church in Donalds, South Carolina.

Burial will be in the Dunn Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 3-7pm Thursday, March 14, 2024 in the Wilbur Robinson Memorial Chapel at the funeral home.

The family will receive visitors at 116 Lower Shady Grove Road,  Donalds, South Carolina.
