Kimberly Latoya Mays, 37, of 214 Kaye Drive, Greenwood, SC passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023, at MUSC.
Born in Greenwood, SC, she was the daughter of LaVerne Leverett and John A. Mays. Kimberly was a member of Dunn Creek Baptist Church and was employed as the Manager at Hospice Restore of Greenwood. Kimberly graduated from Ware Shoals High School in 2003 and furthered her education by becoming a certified phlebotomist and certified esthetician, and she had just been accepted at Lander University.
Kimberly was a special person – she was witty, kind, easy going and smart. She had an infectious laugh, a great sense of humor and was a “jack of all trades”. She was the most loyal, caring, loving friend who was very family oriented. Kim was an all-around angel on earth. She loved her family dearly. Kim was an awesome mother to her girls and a loving fiancé to Quentin.
Quentin says, “Kimberly was the purest person he had ever known, she was selfless, and she put everyone else before herself. The love she placed on this earth will always be remembered and it shows through all the friends who knew her”.
Kimberly leaves to cherish fond memories, her daughters, Jocelyn and Eliana Carter; son, Kingston Carter, and her fiancé’ Quentin Carter, all of the home; mother, LaVerne Leverett, Ware Shoals, SC; father, John A.
