Lillian Beverly Anderson Gaines. 88, of 104 Fern Valley Lane, Greenville, SC, departed her life on June 12, 2020 at her home. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of John and Ollie Mae Anderson.
Lillian had one job during her adult life and that was at the Ware Shoals Inn where she cooked and served meals to the many citizens of Ware Shoals. She also had a passion for nursing and nursed many sick persons back to health.
Lillian was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church which she joined at an early age and she attended regularly until her relocation to Greenville, SC. After her relocation she attended when she could.
Lillian was married to Willie James Keller until his death and later was married to Walter Houston Gaines.
Lillian was preceded in death by both of her husbands, her parents and daughters, Leshie Pearl Jackson, Janie Keller and Pasty Keller; son, David Robert Jackson; sister, Maggie Williams; brothers, Ernest, Jeff, James and Theodore Anderson.
She leaves to cherish loving memories, seven children, Willie James Keller, Jr., Grover Jackson, Norma Jean Watts, Carrie Elaine Harris (Don), Debra Francis Harrison (Phillip), Rose Marie Jackson and Debbie Gail Jackson, all of Greenville, SC; brother, Howard Anderson (Elizabeth), Miami, FL; sister, Carrie Lee Wright, Cincinnati, OH; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a supporting son-in-law, Roosevelt Leggett, Taylors, SC.
Funeral services are 1 pm Saturday in the Wilbur Robinson Memorial Chapel, Robinson-Walker Funeral Service and the body will be on view Friday from 4 -8 pm. Burial will be in the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Hodges, SC.
