Louise Lynch

Louise Butler Lynch, 93, of Greenwood, SC, passed away March 3,2023. She was born June 23, 1929, to Samuel and Annie Hodges Butler. She shared her entry into the world with her twin sister Elease. She was the widow of William James Lynch and the last living member of her immediate family.

Louise and William were married in 1955, in South Carolina, and moved to New York shortly after. She worked at a newspaper press and various manufacturing companies during her years there. The two retired and moved to Kinston, North Carolina. Louise remained in North Carolina for many years until the death of her husband. She then returned to her hometown of Ware Shoals, South Carolina. Louise loved God, life, her family, and friends.

Louise leaves to cherish her memories a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Louise was the last survivor of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Annie Butler, siblings Sam Butler Jr., Dock Lucius Butler, Capers “L.T.” Butler, Eva Mae Butler Tompkins, Maggie Lee Butler Williams, and Elease Butler Frazier.

Funeral Service will be 1pm Saturday, March 11, 2023 in the Wilbur Robinson Memorial Chapel at Robinson-Walker Funeral Service in Ware Shoals, South Carolina.

Burial will be in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Greenwood, South Carolina. 

Public viewing will be from 3-7pm, Friday, March 10, 2023 in the Wilbur Robinson Memorial Chapel at Robinson Walker Funeral Service.

The family will receive friends at the home of her nieces, located at 1326 Calhoun Road, Greenwood, South Carolina.
