Mary Josephine Williams, 83 years old, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of George Henley and Beatrice Clark Henley. She was a member of Little River Baptist Church.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, George and Beatrice Henley, her husband, Jordan Williams, her first husband, Nathan Thompson Sr., three daughters, Brenda Robinson, Valerie Robinson and JoAnn Thompson, a grandson, Mark C. Thompson, brother, Roosevelt Henley and sister, Linda Whitaker.
Mary leaves to cherish fond memories, two sons, Nathan Thompson Jr., Abbeville, SC and Fateen Thompson, Greenwood, SC; eight grandchildren, Travis, Ashley, Faatima, Kareem, Sabriyya, Jamarious, Nylibby and Nathan Thompson, III; and a number of great-grandchildren.
The family is at the home of her granddaughter, Ashley Thompson, 8 N. Riegel Avenue, Ware Shoals, SC.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Monday, May 1, 2023 at the Little River Baptist Church in Ware Shoals, South Carolina.
Viewing will be Monday, May 1, 2023 from 11:00am to the hour of service at Little River Baptist Church in Ware Shoals, South Carolina.
