Melvin Jones

Melvin Jones, 74, of 501 Sally White Road, Hodges, South Carolina, passed away, Sunday, December 18,2022 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, South Carolina.

Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Roy Jones and Azzie Lee Patterson Jones.

 

Melvin worked for Richloom until he retired.

 

Melvin was the husband of Mary Agnew Jones.

 

Melvin was preceded in death by his son, Melvin Jones, Jr., parents Roy Jones and Azzie Lee Patterson Jones; three brothers, Elbert Jones, Willie Jones, and Rufus Sanders; and one sister, Essie Mae Durant.

 

Melvin leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Mary Agnew Jones, of the home; one son, John Jones; two daughters, Lisa (Larry) Logan and Patricia Jones; two brothers, Robert Jones and Wesley Jones; three sisters, Alberta Coates, Frances Jones and Naomi Agnew; ten grandchildren, Tydrekius Mays, Latrice Mays, Destiny Mays, Gabrielle Jones, Keyairra (Wesley) Parkman , Quantarius Logan, Joshua Logan, Jemiah Logan,  Melvin Jones and Kevin Jones; four great-grandchildren, Heaven Parkman, Davon Parkman, Mariah Parkman, and Zoie Dean; and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.

 

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
